Corbin to play Clay County Friday

After defeating South London White, 11-0, Corbin White lost to North Laurel in the winners’ bracket final of the 9-10 Year Old Minor League Tournament in Manchester Thursday night, 16-5 in five innings.
Corbin dropped to the losers’ bracket where they will face host Clay County Friday at 7 p.m. with the winner moving on to next week’s District Four Tournament.
In the win over South London White, Garner Chandler walked to lead off the game. After stealing second and third bases, he scored on a hit by Steven Manon with two outs.
Corbin then broke the game open in the third inning with 10 runs for the 11-0 win. Manon, Ben Phillips and Cade Cooney scored twice in the inning for Coach Mel Chander’s team.
North Laurel jumped out to a 4-0 lead in Thursday’s game, but Corbin kept it close with three runs in the bottom of the inning. Corbin trailed 9-5 when North Laurel scored four runs on a Colby Howard home run for a 13-5 lead.
Corbin was never able to get back in the game and lost, 16-5.

We are Luke Ledington's grandparents and we are so proud of these guys. We live West of Bowling Green so we don't get to see him play during weeks. Go Corbin White Team1
