Corbin man remains in serious condition following deadly crash Tuesday

A Corbin man remains in serious condition at the University of Kentucky Medical Center following a head-on collision Tuesday morning in Laurel County.

Laurel County Sheriff John Root stated that Bobby Evans, 49, of Corbin and Albert Stillings, 74 of London were both airlifted to UK following the wreck on Ky. 192, three miles west of London.

Stillings died Tuesday afternoon at UK.

According to Root, the wreck occurred just after 9 a.m. Stilings was traveling west on Ky. 192 when he lost control of his Jeep in a curve, crossed the centerline and struck Evans' Chrysler 300.

Evans was initially listed in critical condition.

Root stated the wet road conditions were a factor in the wreck.

Laurel County Sheriff's deputies investigated the wreck. London-Laurel County Rescue Squad, Laurel County Fire Department and Ambulance Inc. of Laurel County assisted at the scene.
