The Corbin boys varsity basketball team defeated North Laurel 65-42 in the finals of the 13th Region Tournament at The Arena in Corbin Monday night. The team will play their opening round game in the KHSAA Sweet 16 at Rupp Arena in Lexington next Wednesday against Region 11 winner Scott County or Lafayette.
Vocalists Niffer Clarke and John Smitherman perform a classic song from the movie "The Sound of Music" during a performance of the Hollywood Concert Orchestra in London Feb. 19. The performance was part of the Fine Arts Association of Southeastern Kentucky Inc. 48th concert season.
