PUBLIC NOTICE OF REQUEST FOR LETTERS OF INTEREST FOR
PROFESSIONAL ARCHITECTURAL SERVICES AND CONSTRUCTION MANAGER
Corbin Independent School District is requesting:
- a one page Letter of Interest for Architectural Services for the New Corbin Elementary, and
- a one page Letter of Interest for Construction Manager for the New Corbin Elementary
Qualified architectural firms, and qualified Construction Managers shall indicate their interest by submitting this Letter Of Interest to Rhonda Moore, CFO, Corbin Board of Education, 108 Roy Kidd Avenue, Corbin, Kentucky 40701, no later than Friday, September 5th, 2025 at 4:00 pm. One page Letters of Interest may also be emailed to Rhonda.moore@corbin.kyschools.us. Letters received after September 5th, 2025 at 4:00 pm will not be accepted. NOTICE:
The Williamsburg Independent Board of Education will hold a public hearing in the Williamsburg Independent Schools auditorium at 4:45 pm on August 28, 2025, to hear public comments regarding a proposed general fund tax levy of 48.1 cents on real property and 48.1 cents on personal property.
The General Fund tax levied in fiscal year 2025 was 45.8 cents on real property and 45.8 cents on personal property and produced revenue of $1,168,420.60. The proposed General Fund tax rate of 48.1 cents on real property and 48.1 cents on personal property is expected to produce $1,394,437.88. Of this amount $204,269.83 is from new and personal property. The compensating tax for 2026 is 42.6 cents on real property and 42.6 cents on personal property and is expected to produce $1,234,990.72.
The general areas to which revenue of $226,017.28 above 2025 revenue is to be allocated are as follows: $184,243.43 building fund and $41,773.85 maintenance of plant.
The General Assembly has required publication of this advertisement and information contained herein.
NOTICE OF PUBLIC MEETING
The Public Service Commission of Kentucky issued an order of July 31, 2025, scheduling a public comment meeting to be held on September 8, 2025, at 5 p.m., Eastern Daylight Time, at Jefferson Community & Technical College: Hovarth Auditorium, 1000 Community College Dr., Louisville, KY 40272 for the purpose of hearing public comments on Kentucky Utilities Company and Louisville Gas and Electric Company applications for adjustment of its electric and gas rates and approval of certain regulatory and accounting treatments in Case Nos. 2025-00113 and 2025-00114.
