Lorine Helton, age 89, passed away on Friday August 28, 2026 at the Summit in Edgewood Kentucky. Lorine was born on October 30, 1936, and grew up in Whitley County, Kentucky. She was the daughter of the late Marshall and Emma Jones. Lorine was married to Marvin Sparks, deceased, and later to Paul Helton, deceased. She was a devoted mother to her three surviving children: Marvin “Rocky” Sparks and his wife, Cathy of Taylor Mill Kentucky; Debbie Redmon and her husband, Will of Cincinnati Ohio; and Darlene Durban and her husband, Tom of Charlotte NC. Ronnie is preceded in death by his father, Hiram Malicoat; mother, Lassie (Cloud) Malicoat; brothers, Hiram Malicoat, Jr., and Jerry Malicoat; and sister, Patsy Davis. Dalphine Worley, age 90, of Williamsburg, Kentucky, passed away on Saturday, August 22, 2026, at Williamsburg Health & Rehab. Born on February 15, 1936, in Packard, Kentucky, she was the daughter of the late Earl Smith and Estamae (Siler) Smith. Dalphine attended college and dedicated much of her life to caring for others, working as a beautician and nurse at the Whitley County Home Health, as well as serving as a beautician in Jellico for over 25 years.
