DSC_0043The following are high school football scores of interest for the evening of Friday, August 19.

The Corbin Redhounds hosted the Whitley County Colonels at Campbell Field Friday, coming away with a 42-6 victory to start the 2016 season off at 1-0. The Hounds will host Louisville Central next week in this year’s Cumberland Falls Pigskin Classic.

As for the Colonels, they will regroup and prepare for their season home opener against Middlesboro next week.

The Lynn Camp Wildcats took the visiting Perry Central Commodores down to the wire Friday, but in the end the Cats would end up losing a heartbreaker, 35-34. Next week Lynn Camp will be on the road to face McCreary Central.

And the Williamsburg Yellow Jackets looked like they were going to pull off an upset win over visiting Lexington Christian Friday, but LCA rallied and was able to come away victorious by the final score of 32-22. Next week the Jackets will attempt to pick up their first win of the season when they go on the road to Somerset.
