Larry William Jones, born April 7, 1947, departed this life on November 25, 2016 at his home in Corbin.
He was preceded in death by his parents William R. and Marie Maddox Jones, two brothers John E. Jones and Joseph R. Jones and wife Peggy, two sisters Elizabeth A. Jones and Linda Jones Gaylor and husband Kenneth; twin pre-born children Joseph and Mary Jones; brothers-in-law Jack W. Willis, Kenneth Gaylor and Robert E. Rollins.
He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Julia Cima Jones and one daughter Katherine Jones Self, husband Scott, one granddaughter Roslyn Julia Self; four sisters, Hazel Jones Johnstone, husband James; Sandra Jones Willis, Ellen Jones Kepner, Gloria Jones Rollins; also many special nieces, nephews, cousins and friends who mourn his passing.
Larry was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church since its beginning. He was part of the door greeter and visitation ministry. Larry was a retired salesman from Brandeis Machinery. Most recently he worked for Whitaker Bank as a courier. Larry has touched many lives through ministry and employment.
Family will receive friends at Hart Funeral Home after 6 p.m. on Wednesday, November 30th. Services celebrating Larry’s life will be held at Immanuel Baptist Church on Thursday, December 1st at 11 a.m. Interment will be at Pine Hill Cemetery following the service. Bobby Joe Eaton, a life long friend of Larry’s, Allen Bonnell and Jack Willis II will officiate.
Pallbearers include: Brian Rollins, Todd Rollins, Jack Willis II, Phillip Cima, Gino Cima II, Steven Gaylor, Robert Gaylor and James Wright II.
