Corbin Tourism gets newest mascot, Cluckie, the chicken

What would Colonel Sanders be without his chickens?

Cluckie, the chicken, is the newest mascot for Corbin Tourism.

Corbin Tourism is proud to introduce its newest mascot, Cluckie, the chicken.

Corbin Tourism Director Maggy Monhollen said she found Cluckie roosting at Ever Aston Boutique.

“I had gone in last Saturday to do a Facebook Live about Ever Aston’s new children line,” Monhollen explained. “I found Cluckie and just thought, ‘Oh my gosh. We have to have Cluckie.”

“It was a perfect fit,” Monhollen said. “He was purchased from a locally owned and operated business.”

Cluckie will be making appearances at travel shows and on Corbin Tourism’s social media.

Monhollen said Cluckie may also make some in person appearances throughout Corbin.

“We would like to take him around town and showcase him in different areas,” said Monhollen.

Corbin doesn’t have any plans to launch a chicken themed campaign, Monhollen said. Corbin’s focus is on Colonel Harland Sanders himself, but Monhollen explained, “The colonel would be nothing without his chickens.”

Since his announcement as the mascot, Cluckie has already appeared at a travel show in Tennessee with Monhollen.
