 In a close contest, the Whitley County Colonels nearly pulled out a win over Knox Central on homecoming night, but the Panthers were able to improve to 4-1 on the year with a 33-28 victory. The Colonels drop to 1-5, and will be back on the road next Friday to face the Cougars of Morgan County (1-4).

The Williamsburg Yellow Jackets remained undefeated in 2014 with a 48-18 win at Harrison County Friday. Now at 6-0, the Jackets will get a bye week before opening district play at home against Campbellsville on October 10.

Both Corbin and Lynn Camp had bye weeks this week, and will be back in action next Friday, October 3. The Redhounds will host Wayne County (1-5), and the Wildcats will host Clinton County (3-3).
