City Utilities Commission of Corbin raising rates due to increase costs, need for new equipment

The City Utilities Commission (CUC) of Corbin is raising it rates starting in January because its costs to buy wholesale electricity have increased over the past year and because it needs to start putting money back for equipment replacement, which will be necessary in the not too distant future.

City Utilities Commission (CUC) of Corbin General Manager Ron Herd explained the need for CUC’s rate increase to the Corbin City Commission Monday.
