Clara Johnson, age 79, passed peacefully from this life on November 23, 2025, leaving behind a legacy of love, devotion, and unwavering faith. She was born on October 9, 1946, in Corbin, Kentucky.
She is survived by her oldest daughter, Connie Anita Johnson Sampson of Stearns, Kentucky and her special daughter, Tracy Bunch of Williamsburg, Kentucky. She is also survived by her sister, Randa Reynolds Johnson of Williamsburg, Kentucky and her brother, Vernon Reynolds and his wife Debbie of Corbin, Kentucky.
Clara was a proud and loving grandmother to David Alan Sampson, Courtni Anne Paul (Jacob), Jaden Johnson (Corey), Kaden Johnson (Kendell), Clyde Hayden Johnson, and Jerry Payten Fernald. She also cherished her special grandchildren, Kayla, Jaxson, and Storm, each of whom held a special place in her heart.
She is additionally survived by her special nephews and nieces, and dear friend, Sarita Floyd, whose companionship enriched Clara’s life.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of more than 57 years, Clyde Hardin Johnson; her daughter, Courtni Aneisa Johnson; her parents, Bill and Mary Reynolds; her in-laws, Warren and Odene Johnson; and her siblings: Mary Reynolds Powers (Earl), Doris Reynolds Bunch (Donnie), and Wilima Reynolds Sigerseth.
Clara was a devoted and faithful member of Wofford Baptist Church, and a proud member of the Eastern Star.
She loved spending time with her family, whom she adored deeply, and she found great fulfillment in attending church and living out her Christian faith.
Clara will be remembered for her unwavering faith, her steady strength, and the deep love she showed. Her legacy will continue to live on in the hearts of her family, friends, and all who were blessed to know her.
A private graveside will done at later date at the Wofford Cemetery in Williamsburg, KY.
