Clara Mae Croley

Date:

With deep sorrow, we announce the departure of our beloved Clara Mae Croley (February 14, 1947 – March 30, 2026).
Clara was born in Williamsburg, KY, and spent her life in Siler, Kentucky. She was a devoted member of the Buffalo Missionary Baptist Church in Gausdale, KY, her faith serving as a beacon of light that guided her through life’s journey. Clara’s loyalty was deeply rooted in her beliefs. As stated in Proverbs chapter 31: 25-26…Strength and honor are her clothing; and she shall rejoice in time to come. She openeth her mouth with wisdom; and in her tongue is the law of kindness.
Clara embodied the spirit of selfless love, particularly towards her family and the numerous children she cared for during her lifetime. Clara’s generous spirit touched the lives of many, and her warmhearted nature ensured she never met a stranger. She gave abundantly and asked for nothing in return.
Clara is survived by her devoted spouse, Roscoe Croley, whom she married on March 9, 1968. She leaves behind her loving daughter, Vickie (Russell) Joyner; her cherished mother, Rosie Harris; her siblings, Jean Fuson (Dickie), Joann Lambdin, Phyllis Partin (John), Helen Powers, Kathy Partin, Willard Harris (Robyn), and James (Jay) Harris (Patricia); her precious grandchildren, Isaiah (Alexa) Rogers, Emily Rogers (D’onte), Noah Absalon, and Isaac Absalon; and great-grandchildren, Azaria Blu Rogers, Lincoln Ray Rogers, and Margaret Clara-Jo Rogers. She also leaves behind her special nephew, Eric Harris.
Clara was preceded in death by her father, James Harris; brothers, William Henry Harris and Timothy Harris; brothers-in-law, Ulys Lynn Powers, Jack Partin, and Freddy Lambdin; and sister-in-law, Stephanie Lawson.
Clara’s life was a testament to her faith and love for her family. Her spirit will continue to shine in the hearts of all who knew her. We invite you to leave memories and upload photos to Clara’s memorial page, to celebrate and remember the life of this extraordinary woman.
