Coeburn Lewis, 67, of Cumberland Falls Highway, Corbin, departed this life on Saturday, May 12, 2018 at his home.
He was born on December 17, 1950 in Ages, Kentucky to the late Hayes Lewis and Vicie (Curry) Lewis.
He was also preceded in death by a son, Daniel Lewis; sister, Myrtle Lewis and brothers, Ralph Lewis, Charles Lewis and Dewey Lewis.
Coeburn was a 1969 graduate of Whitley County High School.
He enjoyed hunting and fishing; he loved cooking and canning and spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife, Sandra Lewis of Corbin; three children, Michael Travis Lewis of Corbin, Amy Salmons and husband Ted of Corbin and Adam Lewis (Maranda Noe) of Winchester; two grandchildren, Landon Walker and Lane Walker; two sisters, Betty Cunningham of West Chester, OH and Jay Lewis of Corbin; brother, Shelby Lewis of Dayton, OH; several nieces and nephews and a host of other family and friends to mourn his passing.
The funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday, May 16, at the Croley Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Roy Sutton officiating.
Following the service he will be laid to rest in the Youngs Creek Cemetery.
