Date:

The Corbin Lady Hounds stayed within striking distance of the defending 13th Region champion North Laurel Lady Jaguars throughout most of Saturday night’s game at the Arena, but in the end, the Jags were able to pull away for a 61-49 victory to repeat as regional champs.

With the loss, Corbin ends their 2023-24 campaign with an overall record of 22 wins and nine losses. They repeated as 50th District champions, and they had won 13 of their last 14 games coming into Saturday’s regional finals.

Senior Lady Hound Kallie Housley went out with a bang in her final outing in a CHS basketball uniform, leading all scoring on the night with 23 points. Fellow seniors Darcie Anderson and Bailey Stewart scored eight and six points, respectively.

Juniors Kylie Clem and Raegan Walker, who will be tasked with leading the team in the 2024-25 season and beyond, scored three points and nine points, respectively.
