Corbin man indicted on federal charge stemming from September bank robbery

A Corbin man, who is accused of robbing a Laurel County bank in September, is now facing federal charges after being indicted last week by a grand jury in U.S. District Court.

Shawn Fox, 35, was named in a single-count indictment Thursday in connection to the robbery. The indictment alleged that on Sept. 27, Fox “by force, violence and intimidation,” took $5,304 from the Community Trust Bank on US25W across from KFC in southern Laurel County.
