David James Hardesty

David James Hardesty, of Corbin, Kentucky, passed away on December 15, 2024.
Born on January 16, 1950, in Louisville, Kentucky, David was a man of integrity, hard work, and unparalleled passion for life. David spent his professional life dedicated to Pepsi-Cola of Corbin, Kentucky, where he held a management role until his retirement.
His leadership and dedication were admired by all who worked with him. He had a unique ability to bring people together, and his influence extended far beyond the bottling plant’s walls. David’s work ethic and dedication to his community were apparent in his efforts to ensure that the business thrived. He retired with a sense of accomplishment, knowing he had left a lasting impact.
Outside of his professional life, David had a deep love for bass fishing. He was often found by the water, fishing rod in hand, enjoying the serenity and excitement that came with each cast. His enthusiasm for this pastime was infectious, inspiring others to explore and appreciate the beauty of nature. David also attended of the Freedom Point Church in Corbin, Kentucky.
David was preceded in death by his parents, Harold and Elizabeth Hardesty; and his beloved wife, Deloria Hardesty.
He leaves behind his loving children, Sammie Smith (Christina), Beth Adkins (Joey), Jeana Hardesty, and Chris Hardesty; sister, Elizabeth Pietrowski; 20 grandchildren; six great grandchildren; and by many other family and friends.

There will be no formal service, as it was David’s wishes to be remembered at his favorite fishing spots, and in the hearts of his family.
