Dorothy Helen Brown, 88, of Corbin, departed this life of Sunday, April 21, 2019 at the Hillcrest Health and Rehab Center in Corbin.

She was born on October 12, 1930 in Gatliff, to the late Marshal and Maggie (Davidson) Reaves.

She was also preceded in death by her husband, Hays Brown.
Dorothy was a member of Greenland Baptist Church and a member of the Eastern Star.

She is survived by her son, Michael Glen Brown (Marlene) of Corbin; two grandchildren, Michael Christopher Brown of Corbin and Rachel M. Vaughn (Chad) of Lexington; two great grandchildren, Khloe and Cameron Vaughn of Lexington; brother, Glen Hugh Reaves (Imogene) of Xenia, OH; nephew, David Reaves of Xenia, OH; niece, Melody Reaves Randles of Xenia, OH; several great nieces and nephews; and a host of other family and friends to mourn her passing.

The funeral service was held Tuesday, April 23, at the Croley Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Gerald Mullins officiating.

She was laid to rest in the Cumberland Memorial Gardens in Corbin.
