w-elva-fyffeElva Lorene Fyffe, 80, of West Hwy 204, Williamsburg, passed away Tuesday, September 6, 2016 at Continued Care Hospital in Corbin.

She was born on August 9, 1936 in Whitley County, to the late Rev. Melton Canada and Etta Mae Wingfield.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Rev. Melton and Etta Canada; son, Darrell Phillips; granddaughter, Lisa Canada Rains; sister; Ella Harris; brothers, J.B. Canada, Emery Canada, Rev. John Canada.

She was a member of Canadatown Holiness Church.

She is survived by four children, Larry Walker (wife Joyce), Rita Canada (husband Lester), Suzann Phillips, and Etta Ellis (husband Vince), all of Williamsburg; ten grandchildren, Clint Walker, Amanda Walker, David Canada, Darrell Wayne Zehel, Nikki Marie Zehel, Dillon Phillips, Samantha Marie Moore, Jeremy Ellis, Nathan Ellis, and Hannah Ellis; eight great grandchildren, Autumn, Jayden, Makenna, Josilyn, Lilly, Sawyer, Kapri, and Kennedi; two brothers, Clay Canada (wife Lois) of Williamsburg and Dewey Lee Canada of Williamsburg; sister, Dora Canada of Hazel Park, Michigan; many nieces and nephews; and host of other family and friends to mourn her passing.

The funeral was held on Saturday, September 10, at the Canadatown Holiness Church with Rev. Ronald Canada and Rev. David Rose officiating.

She was laid to rest in the Canadatown  Cemetery.

Clint Walker, David Canada, Dillon Phillips, Darrell Wayne Zehel, Jeremy Ellis, and Nathan Ellis served as pallbearers.
