w-helen-mckiddyHelen V. McKiddy, 93, of Corbin, departed this life on Thursday, November 24, 2016 at the Christian Care Center in Corbin.

She was born on February 23, 1923 in Gatliff, to the late Edward Hickman and Oma Ellen (Goins) Hickman.

She was also preceded in death by her husbands, James Eulice Brown and Richard McKiddy; grandson, Richard Gentry; brothers, Ace Hickman and Lowell Hickman; and sister, Shirley Hickman.

Helen attended Locust Grove Baptist Church.

She is survived by three daughters, Pauline Gentry (Glen) of Barbourville, Betty Jean King of Independence, and Carrnettia Johnson (Ray) of Barbourville; three sons, Don McKiddy (Nancy) of Williamsburg, Floyd McKiddy (Brenda Jo) of Louisville, and Larry Wayne McKiddy (Leighanne) of Keavy; 15 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; 10 great-great grandchildren; and a host of other family and friends to mourn her passing.

The funeral service was held Tuesday, November 29, at the Croley Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Randy Douglas officiating.

She was laid to rest in the Croley Addition of Highland Park Cemetery.
