High School Football Scores for Friday, August 26

The following are final scores of interest from high school football games played on Friday, August 26:

The Corbin Redhounds captured the 2016 Cumberland Falls Pigskin Classic championship title with a 20-14 win over visiting Louisville Central. The win puts the Redhounds at 2-0 on the year ahead of a road game at Clay County next week.

Whitley County got their first win of 2016 Friday, defeating Middlesboro at Colonel Stadium by the final score of 38-8. Whitley, now 1-1, will get a bye next week.

The Williamsburg Yellow Jackets fell to 0-2 on the season Friday, losing 42-27 on the road in Somerset. The Jackets will try again to put a mark in the win column next week when they travel to face Leslie County.

And finally, the Lynn Camp Wildcats won a thriller at McCreary Central, defeating the Raiders 38-36 to improve to 1-1 on the year. Next week they will try to make it two in a row when they host Jackson County.
