Joyce C. Dizney, 88, of Corbin, passed away Wednesday, July 25, 2018 at Baptist Health Corbin.

A native of Corbin, Joyce was a daughter of the late Curtis and Rushie Harp Lawson.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 65 years Henry Allen Dizney, a son Scott Dizney, and grandson Gabe Dizney.

She was a longtime member of First Baptist Church where she helped with various church activities as long as she was able.

Joyce was a past member of the Corbin Womens Club and had worked with her parents and other family members at the Weed Laundry in Corbin.

Survivors include a son Curt Dizney and his wife Shelia of Corbin; four grandchildren: Kristen Thomason and husband Will, Eric Dizney and wife Sarah, Brandon Dizney, and Zach Dizney; six great grandchildren; a sister Nina Brooks; and her cousins, her church family, and some nieces and nephews.

Joyce’s visitation will begin at 1 p.m. Sunday, July 29, at Vankirk-Grisell Funeral Home. Her funeral service was held July 29 with Rev. Austin Carty officiating.

Burial will be at Rest Haven Cemetery.

Memorials are suggested to First Baptist Church in Corbin.
