Larry Wayne Phelps, 76, of Corbin passed away Monday evening, December 26, 2016 in the UK Hospital at Lexington.

He was the husband of Reba Frazier Phelps.

Born in Corbin, Larry was a son of the late Edwin P. and Lula Jones Phelps.  He was a U.S. Army veteran and had worked in building construction.  He enjoyed building and flying model airplanes and doing other handcraft work.

Other survivors include three children:  Timothy Phelps, Kimberly Radenhimer, and James Phelps; several grandchildren; a brother Kenneth Phelps and a sister Anna Ruth Stewart; and some nieces and nephews.

A family visitation was held Friday afternoon at the Vankirk-Grisell Funeral Home followed by burial at Cumberland Memorial Gardens.  Rev. Levi Skeen conducted the cemetery service.
