Laurel deputies seeing public’s help to find credit/debit card thieves

Date:

Laurel County Sheriff’s deputies are asking for the public’s help to locate the individuals accused of stealing credit/debit card information from a local resident and using it to go on a shopping spree Tuesday.

According to Deputy Gilbert Acciardo, the department’s public affairs officer, the man and woman, and possibly a third individual, have used the information to purchase $374 worth of merchandise from the Corbin Walmart and a nearby gas station about 9 p.m. that night.

Acciardo stated that surveillance photos show two white male suspects, one of whom appears to be bald. The female subject was wearing baggy clothes and a baseball cap.

The trio is seen leaving the store in a yellow car with a large flag of some sort attached to the rear bumper.

Anyone with information concerning the suspects or vehicles is asked to contact the sheriff’s office at (606) 864-6600 or (606) 878-7000.

Callers may remain anonymous.
