Lorrie Ann Mays Jackson Rice, loving mother, sister, and friend passed away on October 17, 2025 at the age of 57. Born in Norfolk, VA on December 15, 1967, Lorrie spent most of her life in Corbin, Kentucky where she became an inspiring pillar of the community.
Lorrie was known for her unwavering dedication and her fierce love for her family, friends, and her faith. She was a member of the Rockholds First Baptist Church, where she found great solace and community.
Lorrie leaves behind a rich legacy of love and kindness, evidenced by the numerous lives she touched. She is survived by her loving daughter, Kerry Ann Watson and husband Jimmy of Rockholds, KY; her son, Matthew Allen Jackson and wife Paige of Rockholds, KY; grandchildren, Jessie Watson and wife Breanna, Bianca Watson, Brayde Jackson and Huck Jackson.
She also leaves behind her sisters, Kathy Galbreath and Anne Brooks; and her devoted companion, Bill Rice of Corbin, KY.
Lorrie’s love for her family was paramount in her life, and her memory will live on in the hearts of all those she touched.
The funeral service was held at the Croley Funeral Home, on Saturday, October 18, with Rev. Jeff Ellis officiating.
The burial service followed at the Croley Addition Highland Park Cemetery. A visitation was held at the Croley Funeral Home on Monday, October 20.
Lorrie was preceded in death by her parents, Jessie and Carolyn May; her brothers, Mike and David Mays; and her infant sister, Patricia Mays.
