A seat has come open on the Corbin Tourism Commission after Mark Shepherd elected to resign.
Shepherd owns and operates Bubby’s Barbecue and Shep’s Place restaurants.
“With my wife passing and the new business (Shep’s), there were just not enough hours in the day,” Shepherd said of why he elected to resign.
“It was not fair for the board for me not to be there,” he said.
Shepherd was named to the commission in 2017.
Corbin Mayor Suzie Razmus is tasked with naming someone to fill the position.
