Merle Privett, 73, of Williamsburg, passed away Sunday April 30, 2017 at Baptist Health Corbin.
He was born February 23, 1944 in Williamsburg to the late Bradley Privett and Myrtle Davenport Privett.
Along with his parents he is preceded in death by two sisters; Katherine and Phyllis, two brothers; Carl and George Privett.
He is survived by his wife Carolyn Privett of Williamsburg; three sons, Michael Privett (Deanie) of Greenville SC, James Privett (Cindy) and Timothy Privett (Patricia) all of Williamsburg; seven grandchildren, Joshua Privett, Allen Privett, Timothy Privett Jr, Lee Ann Privett, Amber Privett, Brandon Privett, and Tiffany Privett; two great grandchildren, Athena and Gabriel; two sisters, Betty Glander of Fairborn OH, and Dorothy Warren of Barbourville KY; four brothers, Billy Privett of Batavia OH, Charles Privett of Canton NC, Vernon Privett of Indiana, and Kyle Privett of Corbin; several nieces and nephews and a host of friends and relatives to mourn his passing.
Visitation will be 2 p.m. Wednesday May 3, until the funeral hour.
Funeral services will be 4 p.m. Wednesday, May 3, at Ellison Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Doyle Lester officiating. Following the funeral service, interment will be at Jellico Creek Cemetery.
