ONLY ONLINE: Trailer damaged by fire again, officials suspect foul play

Date:

Arson is suspected in a Monday evening fire that completely destroyed a doublewide trailer, which had already burned once about six months ago.

"It leveled it," said Woodbine Volunteer Fire Chief Rick Fore. "It was fully involved when we got there."

The fire at 475 Airport Road was reported shortly before 7 p.m.

Nearly two dozen firefighters from Woodbine, Oak Grove and Three-Point volunteer fire departments responded and battled the blaze for nearly two and one-half hours.

Firefighters aren’t sure who owned the home. It was apparently in a foreclosure, Fore said.

Arson is suspected, and the case has been turned over to Kentucky State Police Arson investigators, Fore said.

The home also burned in August or September last year.

No one was injured fighting the blaze.
