Jimmy and Pam Parks of Lexington, Ky., formerly of Corbin, Ky., and Roy and Rose Brooks of Williamsburg, Ky. are proud to announce the marriage of their children, Ashley Gayle Parks and Matthew Ryan Brooks.
The private beach ceremony was performed on the Outer Banks of North Carolina on July 4, 2009 with family and friends in attendance. Kevin Brooks of Corbin, Ky., served as his brother’s best man. Brooke Parks of Lexington, Ky., was her sister’s maid of honor. Gregg Bordes of San Fransisco, Calif. was the groomsman.
Ashley is a graduate of Corbin High School and the University of Kentucky. Matthew is a graduate of Williamsburg High School and Morehead State University. The couple currently resides in Stafford, Va.
Matthew is a 2nd Lieutenant in the United States Marine Corps, stationed in Quantico, Va. He served in Iraq in 2008 and will soon be stationed in Ft. Knox, Ky., where he will train as a tank officer.
Ashley is the granddaughter of Stanley and Carolyn Farmer and the late Karon Tompkins and Jackie and Gene Parks, all of Corbin, Ky. Matthew in the grandson of Rose B. Cusick of Bardstown, Ky. and the late Herman B. Cusick of Bardstown, Ky.
