Justin Bell
Police are looking for a local man they say is responsible for an armed robbery Wednesday, and they are asking for the public’s help in locating the suspect.
On April 30, 2014 at approximately 2:00 a.m., Corbin Police Department responded to a 911 call of a robbery, once it was determined the Robbery had occurred outside of the city limits, the case was turned over to Lt. Dennis Foley of the Whitley County Sheriff’s Department. Lt Foley’s investigation revealed the robbery took place on Chestnut Road in Corbin, Kentucky. Lt. Foley spoke to the victim, Mickey Caine, of Sadieville, Kentucky who said he was at the Speedway on the Cumberland Falls Highway in Corbin, when he was approached by a man who asked for ride. The man told Caine that he and his girlfriend where fighting and he did not want to get in trouble. Mickey Caine agreed to give the man a ride and followed his directions to Chestnut Road. Once on Chestnut Road, the man told Caine to stop and then pulled a handgun and pointed it at Cain and demanded he give him his wallet. Once Cain gave the man his wallet, the man exited the vehicle and got into the vehicle of his girlfriend, who had followed the men to this location according to Mr. Cain.
Video surveillance was obtained from the Speedway and the male subject was identified as Justin D. Bell, age 24 of Holloway Drive, Corbin, Kentucky. Chief Deputy K.Y. Fuson and Detective Sgt. Tim Baker interviewed the girlfriend, who confirmed she did drop Bell off at the Speedway.
Chief Deputy Fuson obtained an arrest warrant for Justin D. Bell, charging him with Robbery 1st Degree. A search for Justin Bell has been unsuccessful at this time. Now the Whitley County Sheriff’s Department is asking for the help of the public.
Justin Bell is described as a white male, approximately 6 feet tall, with brown hair and green eyes. Bell does have several tattoos. Sheriff Harrell would like to remind citizens to not approach Bell, as he is considered armed and dangerous.
