Retirees honored at Whitley BOE Ceremony

A special ceremony was held June 16 following the Whitley County Board of Education’s monthly meeting, where the Whitley County School District’s 15 retiring teachers and staff were honored.  Superintendent John Siler spoke briefly about each retiree, recalling past anecdotes and acknowledging each one’s future plans before presenting them with a gift. Those pictured left to right include: (back row) Carl Paul, Rosalee Hinkle, Jackie Marlow, Sean Pigman, David Sweet, Al Ysidro, (front row) Michelle Shelley, Shena Rose, Robin Marlowe, Michelle Pigman, Brian Logan and Lisa Sweet. Those not pictured include: Monica Canada, Melissa Chumbley and Eva Partin.
