Robert Eugene Durham, 86, of Corbin, departed this life on Friday, April 14, 2017 at Continued Care Hospital in Corbin.
He was born on August 30, 1930 in Williamsburg, to the late Fred Durham and Mary White Durham.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Fred and Mary Durham; and two great grandchildren, Blake Walker and Brynlee Walker.
Robert was a Masonic Lodge member in Michigan for over 30 years and worked for General Motors for over 27 years.
He is survived by his wife of 68 years, Edna Strunk Durham of Corbin; three children, Kathy Williams of Corbin, Karen Walker (Ricky) of Warren, MI, and Robin Adkins (Scott) of Warren, MI; seven grandchildren, Emily Dutkiewicz, Christy Catron, Alissa Smith, Bob Walker, Jay Walker, Ryan Adkins, and Rachel Hennessey; nine great grandchildren, Katie Williams, Mason Rieser, Aubrey Dutkiewicz, Jackson Dutkiewicz, Kelsey Smith, Dylan Walker, Landon Walker, Owen Hennessey, and Lucas Adkins; half-brother, Joe Durham of Williamsburg; several nieces and nephews; and a host of family and friends to mourn his passing.
Visitation will be 11 a.m. until the funeral hour on Wednesday, April 19, at Hopcroft Funeral Home, 23919 John R Road, Madison Heights, MI 48030.
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday, April 19, at the Hopcroft Funeral Home in Michigan. Following the service he will be laid to rest in the Roseland Park Cemetery in Berkley, MI.
