Corbin Elementary School now has a new principal, but she is a familiar face.
Liberty Roberts has been named principal succeeding Chris Webb, who has assumed the position of Corbin Independent School District Safety Director.
Roberts has served as assistant principal at the school for the last six years. Prior to that role, she taught third and fourth grade at Corbin Elementary School for 10 years.
“Mrs. Roberts is eager to continue her service to the students, families and staff in her new capacity. The Corbin Elementary School community is made up of exceptional students, teachers, staff and parents, and Mrs. Roberts is dedicated to upholding the tradition of excellence for every child,” according to a school district release. “Please join us in welcoming Mrs. Liberty Roberts as Principal of Corbin Elementary School!”
Roberts hold a Master’s in Teaching, and Rank I in Instructional Leadership with principal certification from the University of the Cumberlands.
