Rodger Dain Jones

Rodger Dain Jones, of Crestwood, KY, passed away Saturday, February 4, 2023 at the Trauma Unit at UofL.
He was born on November 8, 1960 in Corbin, KY. He was the son of the late Joseph R. Jones and Peggy A. Jones.
Rodger was employed by ConAgra Foods in Louisville, KY. He served in the United States Army, 101st Airborne Division from 1980-1982. He was a 1979 graduate of Corbin High School where he was a member of the Corbin Redhounds’ 1976 State Championship Football Team and the 1977 State Championship Runner-Up Football Team. Rodger was an avid sports fan and enjoyed watching/attending various athletic events.
Rodger was dearly loved and will be greatly missed.
He is survived by his wife, Lori Jones; son, Brody Jones and daughter, Rylee Jones; sisters, Abby Board and Marianne Campbell (Jimmy); aunts, Hazel J. Johnston (James), Gloria J. Rollins and Judy C. Jones, as well as many cousins, nieces, nephews and friends who mourn his passing.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by grandparents, William R. and Marie A. Jones and Virginia Nolan; uncles, John E. Jones and Larry W. Jones; aunts, Linda J. Gaylor, Elizabeth A. Jones, Sandra J. Willis and Ellen J. Kepner.
A private graveside service will be held at Pine Hill Cemetery, Corbin, KY with the Rev. Jack Willis, II officiating.
Memorial donations may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital in Memphis, TN.
