Ruth Lila Davis

Ruth Lila Davis, age 91, of Clairfield, Tennessee, went to her heavenly home early Wednesday morning, January 12, 2022 at Tri-State Manor Health & Rehabilitation Center in Harrogate, TN.
She was born on August 25, 1930 to the late John Mifford Day and Grace Annis (Marlow) Day in Clairfield, TN.
She was a longtime member of the Clairfield Freewill Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Bill Davis; son, Billy Ray Davis; and daughter, Lavenda Cowling.
She will be sadly missed by her children, Barbara Hatfield, and husband, Clifford, and Brenda Sue King, and husband, Alan, all of Clairfield, TN; one son, Stanley Davis, of Middlesboro, KY; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren; numerous other relatives; and a host of friends, neighbors, and other relatives to mourn her passing.
The family will receive friends for visitation on Friday evening, January 14, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the Cox & Son Funeral Home Chapel.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday afternoon, January 15, at 2:00 p.m. at the Clairfield Freewill Baptist Church in Hamblin Town with the Rev. Roger Hurst and the Rev. Travis Miller officiating.
Interment will immediately follow the funeral in the Bowman Cemetery in Rock Creek.
