Update: Uncle charged with assault in case of six-year-old’s death

A six-year-old girl died after being hit by a vehicle Saturday evening in the Piney Grove community of Whitley County, and her uncle has been arrested in connection with the case.

Christopher Mullins is charged with first-degree assault.
