Weeks later, man dies from injuries sustained in crash

Date:

A Tennessee man died Wednesday as result of injuries he had suffered in two-vehicle accident on I-75 in early May.

According to a press release from Kentucky State Police Public Affairs Officer Don Trosper, James Clifton, 64, of Lenore City Tenn., was traveling southbound at the time of the accident when, according to witnesses at the scene, the box truck he was driving veered out of control on a rain-soaked road and slid into the pathway of a southbound tractor-trailer, driven by 43-year-old Stephen Engelhard, of Oxford, Ohio.

Engelhard was uninjured in the crash, but Clifton had to be flown to the University of Tennessee Medical Center where he died Wednesday.
