Woodbine man arrested in Tuesday drug raid

A Woodbine man was arrested for dealing drugs Tuesday after local police were able to use undercover officers to buy prescription drugs from him.

According to Corbin Police, Johnny Edward Mullis, 48, of Back Street in Woodbine, was charged with trafficking in controlled substances and possession of drug paraphernalia Tuesday. With the assistance of a confidential informant, officers were able to buy unspecified "schedule 1" prescription drugs from Mullis prior to making the arrest.

Mullis was arrested without incident and lodged in the Whitley County Detention Center. He remained incarcerated as of Wednesday evening.

An investigation by the Corbin Police Department K-9 Division is ongoing. Investigating the case are K-9 Officers Coy Wilson and Glenn Taylor Jr., Sgt. Jason Moore, and officers from the Two Rivers Drug Task Force.
