2023 13th Region Tournament: Redhounds fall to NL in title game

Date:

The Corbin Redhounds ended their 2022-23 season Monday night with a loss to North Laurel in the finals of this year’s 13th Region tournament.

Simply put, it was not a good night for Corbin, as they were dominated by the Jaguars from the opening whistle. In the end, the Hounds fell, 70-33, to end their season with an overall record of 23 wins and 8 losses.

Corbin Head Coach Tony Pietrowski will bid farewell to five seniors – Hayden Llewellyn, Sam Farmer, Parker Norvell, Marc Warren and Brody Wells. The team will look to make another run towards the regional finals next season with other key players such as Zander Curry, Carter Stewart, Trey Worley, Kade Elam and Eli Pietrowski returning to the lineup.

For additional coverage from the 2023 13th Region tournaments, look in the March 8 print edition of the News Journal.
