Sandra Neal, of Pine Knot, Kentucky, born on June 4, 1958, in Oneida, TN, was called home on October 25, 2024.
A cherished mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, Sandra’s life was a testament to her faith, resilience, and love for her family and community. A devout member of the Cumberland Heights Church of God, she exemplified the scripture, “Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven” (Matthew 5:16).
Sandra’s love for puzzles, singing, reading, and her impressive book collection were just a few of the ways she chose to spend her time. Sandra was a beacon of strength and comfort, always ready with a kind word, a warm smile, or a helping hand.
Sandra is survived by her children, Shannon Ray (Angie) Neal, and Amy Nicole (Dwayne) Bryant; grandchildren, Katlyn Rae, Taylor Brooke, Emily Michelle, Donavan Dwayne, Natalie Nichole, Mary Kaydence, and William Elisha; brothers, Dal Hamlin, Dewayne (Brenda) Hamlin, Ronald (Shirley) Hamlin; sisters, Nadine (Dean) Murphy, Charollette (Bill) King; brother-in-law, Steve Gilreath; and several nieces and nephews and a host of other family and friends to mourn her passing.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Donald (Ray) Neal; grandson, Garrett Donald Neal; father, Alfred Hamlin; mother, Letha (Ball) Hamlin; and sisters, Faye (Ray Merle) Stephens, and Carol Gilreath.
A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, October 29, 2024, at 1:00pm at Pleasant Run New Cemetery in Pine Knot, Kentucky with Rev. Jimmy Loudermilk officiating.
