David Erwin Fraley

Date:

David Erwin Fraley, a loving and thoughtful man, of Williamsburg, Kentucky, passed away on September 17, 2025, just shy of his 91st birthday.
Born on March 10, 1935, David spent his lifetime imparting kindness and compassion to those around him. He was a devoted husband, father, and friend, known for his endless generosity and warm spirit. His enduring love for his family was evident in his every action, and his memory will live on in the hearts of those he loved.
David spent his career at the Ford Motor Company, contributing to the automotive industry with diligence and dedication until his retirement.
In his spare time, he was a member of the Williamsburg Masonic Lodge 490 F&AM and Shrine, where he formed many lifelong friendships.
Despite his numerous responsibilities, David always found time for his loved ones, and he leaves behind a legacy of love and dedication.
Dave loved the Lord and I’m sure he’s with the Lord now. He was an avid bluegrass music lover and played the banjo most of his life. Dave was a kind soul and a loving husband and always enjoyed picking the banjo and he also played the guitar. And if you were lucky, he would play some Elvis, Lefty Frizzle and Hank Snow. Dave had his own bluegrass band for a few years and he performed on many albums. He just loved to pick his banjo and parking lot picking was his favorite. Dave had so many stories and adventures in which he loved. It is safe to say that Dave lived a full life and for that blessing, and for other blessings, he is truly grateful. He will be missed dearly by many.
David is survived by his beloved wife, Stevann Fraley of Williamsburg, Kentucky; and his children, Valerie Wilson of Williamsburg, Kentucky, Sandra Fraley of Knoxville, Tennessee, Rhonda Moran (David) of Clarkston, Michigan, David J. Fraley (Jackie) of Macomb, Michigan, and Diana Baird of Scottsdale, Arizona.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Martha Fraley.
He is also survived by several nieces and nephews; and a host of other family and friends to mourn his passing. His family invites those who knew David to join them in celebrating his life.
Funeral service was Monday, September 22, with Rev. Bill Meadors officiating at Croley Funeral Home. A Masonic service was conducted prior to the services.
Burial followed at Richardson Cemetery, Becks Creek Road, Williamsburg, Kentucky.
The family encourages those who knew David to share their memories and upload photos to his memorial page. In remembering David, we recall a life lived with love, thoughtfulness, and an unwavering dedication to family and community. His warm spirit will be missed, but his legacy will continue to inspire those fortunate enough to have known him.
