Holmes coach David Henley told Scott Thompson they had played about as good as they could in the first half as the Bulldogs roared out of the gate with a 45-23 lead against Lexington Catholic.

Holmes is shooting the lights out, 63 percent from the field and 58 percent from three-point range. A big reason why Catholic is down, Vee Sanford has hit only one field goal, he is one of nine.
