Norton – Massengill to wed
Susan Tidwell Brown, of Williamsburg, is pleased to announce the engagement of her daughter, Heather Rose Norton, to Matthew Wade Massengill, son of Mr. and Mrs. Michael Massengill of Lafollette, Tn.
The bride is a 2004 graduate of Williamsburg High School and was a Governor’s Scholar; graduate of Eastern Kentucky University in 2008; Tennessee Wesleyan College in 2014; and, Vanderbilt University where she received the Master of Science in Nursing degree in 2015. She is employed at the University of Tennessee Medical Center in Knoxville as a Nurse Practitioner.
Heather is the daughter of the late Shelton Norton Jr.; the granddaughter of the late Eva and Shelton Norton, Williamsburg; and the late Wilma and James Tidwell Jr., Jellico, Tn. She is the stepdaughter of Dale Brown of Williamsburg.
The groom is a 2003 graduate of Campbell County Comprehensive High School and is an employee of Tennessee Associated Electric in Knoxville, Tn.
He is the grandson of Geraldine Nelson and the late Dewey Nelson; and, the late Vannia Mae and Nathan Massengill, Lafollette, Tn.
Serving as the groom’s best man is his 10-year-old son Nathan Massengill, who a Caryville Elementary School student.
The couple has planned an August wedding at The Stables in Lafollette, Tennessee.
