Ruth Burdine Hawkins, 101, passed away on Tuesday, August 30, 2016 at Christian Care Center in Corbin.
Born in Wilton, she was the daughter of the late George Washington Burdine and Lula Helton Burdine.
She was a member of Central Baptist Church and had worked as a beautician and as a sales clerk.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband William Edward Hawkins, and sisters Ila Barton, Phyllis Haynes, Tina Troutman, and Pauline Burdine.
She is survived by her sister Gail Schaller in South Carolina and by several nieces and nephews.
A graveside service was held Monday, September 5, at the Helton Cemetery at Gray. There will be no visitation.
