Rose Ann Lankford, 77, of Louisville (formerly of Corbin) passed away peacefully on Sunday, February 12, 2017, with her family at her bedside.

Born May 20, 1939, she was the daughter of the late Russell and Alpha Mae Stansberry.

She was a graduate of Corbin High School and the University of Louisville.

She was an active member of the Fillies and gave her time generously to multiple organizations.
Rose Ann is survived by her husband of 58 years, Joe H. Lankford; daughter, Elizabeth R. Lankford-Levin; son, J. Scott Lankford and wife Dr. Ashley Lankford; two sisters: Vicky Owens and husband Bob and Jackie Shadowen; and one brother: John Stansberry and wife Kathy, as well as other relatives and numerous friends to mourn her passing.

A graveside service was held Monday, February 20 at the Resthaven Cemetery in Corbin with Rev. Bobby Joe Eaton officiating.
