Dessel G. Childers, 98, of Williamsburg, passed away Monday April 24, 2017 at Williamsburg Health and Rehabilitation Center.

She was born July 2, 1918 in Winfield, Tennessee to the late McKinley Wilson and the late Etta Rowe Wilson.

Along with her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Ancil Coy Childers and a granddaughter Sandra Adkins.

She is survived by daughter Janice Adkins of Williamsburg; son Scott Childers (Carol) of Bethel, OH, two grandchildren, Tim Adkins and David Adkins, five great grandchildren; Rachael Rutledge, Jennifer Hanlon, Jon Adkins, Dane Adkins and Madalaine Adkins, five great great grandchildren; Grace Rutledge, Coy Rutledge, Madison Hunter, Audrey Hanlon and Mason Hanlon; brother Ron Wilson of Ohio, several nieces and nephews, and a host of relatives and friends to mourn her passing.

The funeral service was held Friday April 28, with Rev. Ande Myers officiating.

Interment was in Terrell Cemetery at Wilton, Ky.
