Ruby C. Engle, 84, of Lily, passed away on Thursday, October 5, 2017, at Baptist Health Corbin.
Born in Vicco, Kentucky, Ruby was the daughter of the late William and Stella Combs.
She was also preceded in death by her husband John Engle on March 4, 1998; son Billy Engle; and three brothers Jesse Combs, Silas Combs and Johnny Johnson.
Ruby loved scratch offs, loved music and dancing when she was younger, and also loved cooking and eating.
She is survived by her son Bobby Engle of Corbin; daughters Linda Ong (Terry) of Indianapolis, Carolyn Engle of Lily, and Brenda Engle of Lily; grandchildren: Justin Ong and Rachel Ong (Bradley Hager), Jessica Davis and John Davis, and Vickie Engle and Dwayne Engle (Lauren); great-grandchildren Hannah Engle and Demonte Engle; great-great-grandchild Dominque Engle; sister Cora Prater; and daughter-in-law Ellen Engle, and several nieces, nephews, family and friends, all to mourn her passing.
The funeral service was held Sunday, October 8, at Vankirk-Grisell Funeral Home.
Entombment was held Monday at Cumberland Memorial Gardens.
