Philip B. Scharr, 68, passed away on Monday, November 6, 2017 at Baptist Health Corbin.
Born in Hartford, Connecticut, Philip was a veteran of the United States Air Force having served during the Vietnam era.
He was preceded in death by his father Samuel Scharr.
He is survived by his wife Barbara Scharr; mother Eunice Bartman Scharr; his children Priscilla Ratner, Michael Scharr, Philip Scharr (Danielle), Christina Scharr, Jeremy Scharr, Jamie Scharr, and Cassie Delgado; brother Greg Scharr; sisters Margaret Mazzoccoli, Nadine Kane, and Paige Weinstein; and numerous grandchildren and including special grandson Camden Scharr.
A memorial service was held Friday, November 10, at Vankirk-Grisell Funeral Home with Pastor Ronnie Mitchell officiating.
