H.C. Smith, 84, of Corbin passed away Thursday, November 16, 2017, at Baptist Health Corbin.

Born December 3, 1932, in Whitley County he was the son of the late Steely and Lora Smith.

He was a member of Corinth Baptist Church and the Teamster Union and also enjoyed gardening.

In addition to his father and mother, he was preceded in death by three siblings, R.C. Smith, Evelyn Rapier, and Maxine Felts.

He leaves behind his loving wife of 66 years, Kathleen Skeen Smith; two daughters, Vickie Killion and husband Alfred and Tammy Carter and husband Bruce; one sister, Opal Sears; four grandchildren, Travis Abbott, Deacon Bramlett, Jessica Knight, and Victor Bramlett; and two great grandchildren, Caleb and Jonah Knight; and also survived by other relatives and numerous friends to mourn his passing.

Funeral services were held Sunday, November 19, in the Hart Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Victor Bramlett and Rev. Bobby Joe Eaton officiating.

Burial followed in Corinth Cemetery.
