Connie Bush, of Williamsburg, went home to be with the Lord on June 8th from UK Chandler Medical Health Center in Lexington, Ky.

Connie graduated from Cumberland College (University of the Cumberlands) in 1981.

Connie was retired from Cumberland River Behavior Health. She also worked at Baptist Health Corbin as a respiratory technician assistant, and the University of the Cumberlands as assistant to the nurse. She was the time clock operator for the University of the Cumberlands Basketball Program.

Connie placed her faith in Jesus Christ as a young girl, and served in the audio-visual department of First Baptist Church, where she was a member.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Mittie Doshie Bush of New Tazewell, TN; best friend, Gloria Stancil of Lakeland, FL.

She is survived by her father: Swann Bush and wife Avanell of New Tazewell, TN; sister, Linda Peterson and husband Rick of San Mateo, FL; three brothers: David Bush of Jacksonville, AR, Cyrus Bush of Pfafftown, NC and Bennie Bush and wife Charlotte of Williamsburg; and a host of nieces and nephews, cousins, and aunts and uncles. While we grieve over our loss, we celebrate her home going!

The funeral service was held Tuesday, June 12, at Ellison Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Bennie Bush, Rev. Ande Myers and Dr. Bob Dunston officiating.

Interment was in the Wolf Creek Cemetery.
