Kermit “Buddy” Coffey

Kermit “Buddy” Coffey, 87, of Williamsburg, passed away Friday June 8, 2018 at his home.

He was born August 26, 1930 in Okineta, VA to the late William and Pearl Burgan Coffey.

Along with his parents he was preceded in death by his daughter Deborah Foley and by two brothers.

He was a member of Main Street Baptist Church and Williamsburg Masonic Lodge #490. He was also a veteran of the U.S. Navy.

He is survived by his wife Galena Coffey of Williamsburg; son, Bruce Coffey of Denellon, FL, two grandchildren; Kristy Creekmore (Chris) of Williamsburg, and Mandy Baker of Ocala, FL; three great grandchildren, Hannah Creekmore, Gunnar Creekmore and Aislynn Baker; sister, Jean Black of Florence; two brothers, Fred Coffey of Cincinnati, OH and Charles Coffey of Louisville; several nieces, nephews and a host of relatives and friends to mourn his passing.

The funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, June 13, at the Ellison Funeral Home with Dr. Jerry Lowrie and Rev.  Donnie Bruce Patrick officiating.

Interment will be in the Ida Bennett Croley Cemetery.

Visitation will be 12 Noon until funeral hour at Ellison Funeral Home.

Masonic rites will be conducted at 2 p.m. by Williamsburg Masonic Lodge #490.
